🚀 Akçabelen e.V. Invests in the Digital Future of Young People: Our New Erasmus+ Project Has Been Accepted!
Youth Workshop in the Triangle of Social Media, Communication Exercises and Active Citizenship
This Erasmus+ Youth Project was supported by Jugend Für Europe and the European Union.
As Akçabelen Kultur und Unterstützungsverein e.V., we are delighted to announce that our new project, “Youth Workshop in the Triangle of Social Media, Communication Exercises and Active Citizenship,” which aims to help young people become safer, more conscious, and more active individuals in the digital world, has been approved by Jugend für Europa!
🌍 Project Aim: Conscious Youth in the Digital World
Today, 81% of young people actively use social media; however, data shows serious shortcomings regarding privacy settings and information pollution. With this project, which we will implement under KA152-YOU, we aim to help young people in Europe:
We aim to help participants understand digital transformation processes,
develop critical thinking and empathetic communication skills,
and gain sensitivity to social issues, enabling them to participate in democratic processes.
🛠 What Will We Do?
Our project encompasses a dynamic learning process shaped around three main themes:
Social Media Workshop: Safe internet use, digital privacy, and methods of combating fake news.
Conscious Communication Exercises: Empathy-focused role-playing games, practical work on nonverbal communication techniques and appropriate forms of expression.
Sensitivity to Social Issues: Creating awareness campaigns on social media, recognizing disinformation, and local dissemination activities.
Participants will also gain detailed information about Erasmus+ and Youthpass opportunities and expand their European networks through intercultural integration activities.
👥 Who Participates?
Our project will host young people aged 18-30 and experienced group leaders from our partner organizations. Based on the principle of equal opportunity, we will create an inclusive learning environment, prioritizing young people who are geographically, socially, economically, or health-wise disadvantaged.

With this project, young people will take a giant step towards becoming “conscious citizens” who contribute to society, are resilient against misinformation, and actively participate in democratic life, moving beyond simply being “consumers of content.”
